If your teen has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days right with them, coaching and instructing them.

Troubled Boys spend a great deal of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to have healthy fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from Oregon
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Oregon Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.
At Master’s Ranch Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Teens participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide pastoral counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
