Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in New Mexico May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri HasAlthough this troubled teen boarding school is not located in New Mexico, Master’s Ranch in Missouri could be just the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.
Master’s Ranch is a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, for boys from New Mexico. Even though our facility is located in rural Missouri, instead of in New Mexico, we would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program.
If your teen has gotten off track, he could use someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and walking through the days next to them, coaching and instructing them.
Master’s Ranch is Designed to Give Boys from New Mexico a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for teenage boys from places like New Mexico, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that the’ve begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.
Boys from New Mexico come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a lot of their free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to have good clean fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, their self-respect improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally comprehend the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from New Mexico
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from New Mexico Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.
A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Residents have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer group and individual counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
