Troubled Teen Boarding Schools in Massachusetts

Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Massachusetts May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri Has

Although this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Massachusetts, Master’s Ranch in Missouri may be just the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyMaster’s Ranch is a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, helping boys from Massachusetts. Even though our facility is located in rural Missouri, not in Massachusetts, we would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program.

If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and walking through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.

Master’s Ranch is Designed to Provide Teens from Massachusetts a New Start in Life

Boys from Massachusetts come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.

Troubled Boys spend a lot of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again.

Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their accomplishments build confidence so that boys are built up.

Helping Boys Understand Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training for Boys from Massachusetts

ranch for troubled boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Troubled Boys from Massachusetts Learn from Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys

Residents take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.

More about troubled teen boarding schools and ranches for boys in Massachusetts:

Massachusetts , officially the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, is a U.S. state in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America. It is bordered by Rhode Island and Connecticut to the south, New York to the west, and Vermont and New Hampshire to the north; at its east lies the Atlantic Ocean. Massachusetts is the 7th least extensive, but the 14th most populous and the 3rd most densely populated of the 50 United States. The state features two separate metropolitan areas the eastern Boston metropolitan area and the western Springfield metropolitan area. Approximately two thirds of the state’s population lives in Greater Boston, most of which is either urban or suburban. Western Massachusetts features one urban area the Knowledge Corridor along the Connecticut River and a mix of college towns and rural areas. Massachusetts is the most populous of the six New England states and has the US’s sixth highest GDP per capita.
Massachusetts has played a significant historical, cultural, and commercial role in American history. Plymouth was the site of the colony founded in 1620 by the Pilgrims, passengers of the Mayflower. Harvard University, founded in 1636, is the oldest institution of higher learning in the United States. In 1692, the towns surrounding Salem experienced one of America’s most infamous cases of mass hysteria, the Salem Witch Trials. In the 18th century, the Protestant First Great Awakening, which swept the Atlantic world, originated from the pulpit of Northampton, Massachusetts preacher Jonathan Edwards. In the late 18th century, Boston became known as the “Cradle of Liberty” for the agitation there that led to the American Revolution and the independence of the United States from Great Britain. In 1777, General Henry Knox founded the Springfield Armory, which during the Industrial Revolution catalyzed numerous important technological advances, including interchangeable parts. In 1786, Shays’ Rebellion, a populist revolt by Western Massachusetts farmers, led directly to the United States Constitutional Convention. Before the American Civil War, Massachusetts was a center for the temperance, transcendentalist, and abolitionist movements. In 1837, Mount Holyoke College, the United States’ first college for women, was opened in the Connecticut River Valley town of South Hadley. In the late 19th century, the (now) Olympic sports of basketball and volleyball were invented in the Western Massachusetts cities of Springfield and Holyoke, respectively. In 2004, Massachusetts became the first U.S. state to legally recognize same-sex marriage as a result of the decision of the state’s Supreme Judicial Court. The state has contributed many prominent politicians to national service, including members of the Adams family and of the Kennedy family.
Originally dependent on fishing, agriculture, and trade, Massachusetts was transformed into a manufacturing center during the Industrial Revolution. During the 20th century, the state’s economy shifted from manufacturing to services. In the 21st century, Massachusetts is a leader in higher education, health care technology, high technology, and financial services.
