Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, admitting boys from Indiana. Although our campus is in rural Missouri, rather than in Indiana, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.

If your teen has gotten off track, he could use someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.

Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Helping Boys learn New Boundaries

MRCA goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the ramifications of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Academic Training for Boys from Indiana

ranch for troubled boysWe have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Troubled Boys from Indiana Learn from Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

More about troubled teen boarding schools and ranches for boys in Indiana:

Indiana is a US state, admitted to the United States as the 19th on December 11, 1816. It is located in the midwestern and Great Lakes regions of North America. Indiana is the 38th most extensive and the 15th most populous of the 50 United States. Indiana is the least extensive state in the continental US west of the Appalachian Mountains. Its capital and largest city is Indianapolis, the second largest of any state capital and largest state capital east of the Mississippi River.
Before it became a territory, varying cultures of indigenous peoples and historic Native Americans inhabited Indiana for thousands of years. Angel Mounds State Historic Site, one of the best preserved ancient earthwork mound sites in the United States, can be found in Southwestern Indiana near Evansville.
Residents of Indiana are known as Hoosiers. The derivation of the term is disputed, but one hypothesis has “Hoosier” originating from a frontier greeting, a corruption of “Who’s here?” The state’s name means “Land of the Indians,” or simply “Indian Land.” This name dates back to at least the 1760s but was first applied to the region by the United States Congress when the Indiana Territory was incorporated in 1800, separating it from the Northwest Territory. Since its founding as a territory, settlement patterns in Indiana have reflected regional cultural segmentation present in the Eastern United States; the state’s northernmost tier was settled primarily by people from New England and New York, Central Indiana by migrants from the Mid-Atlantic states and from adjacent Ohio, and Southern Indiana by settlers from the Southern states, particularly Kentucky and Tennessee.
Today, Indiana has a diverse economy with a gross state product of $214 billion in 2005. Indiana has several metropolitan areas with populations greater than 100,000 and a number of smaller industrial cities and towns. Indiana is home to several major sports teams and athletic events including the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, the WNBAs Indiana Fever, and the Indianapolis 500 and Brickyard 400 motorsports races. The state also has several NCAA Division I athletic programs, notably the Purdue Boilermakers, Indiana Hoosiers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and Butler Bulldogs.
Furthermore, the state has several universities ranked among the best in U.S. News & World Report’s 2011 rankings. Purdue University, Indiana University, and the University of Notre Dame are ranked among the top 50 in the National Universities Rankings, while Butler University, Valparaiso University and the University of Evansville are ranked among the top 10 in the Regional University Midwest Rankings. Taylor University has been ranked first in the guide’s Americas Best Colleges among 109 Midwest Regional Colleges for five years in a row. Additionally, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has been rated the best undergraduate engineering program by the magazine since the year 2000.
