Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Illinois May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri Has
Even though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Illinois, Master’s Ranch in Missouri may be just the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.
We are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, admitting boys from Illinois. While our academy is located in rural Missouri, rather than in Illinois, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.
If your teen has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and walking through the days next to them, coaching and teaching them.
Master’s Ranch has a Mission to Provide Sons from Illinois a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for teenage boys from places like Illinois, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that the’ve begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Illinois come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a great deal of time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start right away with physical exercise to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop strength, their self-esteem improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys learn New Boundaries
MRCA goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Academic Training for Boys from Illinois
We have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Illinois Learn from Vocational Training
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Residents participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual guidance.
Our Troubled Teen Boarding School Sends Boys Out Ready for Tomorrow
