Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Georgia May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri HasEven though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Georgia, Master’s Ranch in Missouri might be exactly the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.
We are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, admitting boys from Georgia. Although our campus is located in rural Missouri, instead of in Georgia, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.
If your son has started down a road to disaster, he needs someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.
Master’s Ranch has a Mission to Offer Boys from Georgia a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for adolescent boys from places like Georgia, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents enroll their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that the’ve begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Georgia come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a lot of their weekends and free time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start right away with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys Understand Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally realize the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from Georgia
We have certified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Georgia Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.

Residents have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer group and individual counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
