Troubled Teen Boarding Schools in Colorado

Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Colorado May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri Has

Even though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Colorado, Master’s Ranch in Missouri could be exactly the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyMaster’s Ranch is a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, helping boys from Colorado. While our facility is in rural Missouri, rather than in Colorado, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.

If your son has gotten off track, he needs someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days alongside them, coaching and instructing them.

Master’s Ranch is Designed to Offer Sons from Colorado a New Direction in Life

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyMaster’s Ranch is a second home for boys from places like Colorado, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.

Boys from Colorado come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.

Troubled Boys spend a great deal of their weekends and free time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to have wholesome fun again.

Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.

Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Academic Training for Boys from Colorado

ranch for troubled boysWe have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Troubled Boys from Colorado Learn from Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.

Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys

Students take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer pastoral counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
