Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Alabama May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri HasEven though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Alabama, Master’s Ranch in Missouri may be exactly what you’re looking for if he’s getting in trouble and have gotten off track in life.
Master’s Ranch is a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, helping boys from Alabama. Despite the fact that our facility is found in rural Missouri, instead of in Alabama, we would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program.
If your son has started down a road to disaster, he needs someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and going through the days right with them, coaching and teaching them.
Master’s Ranch was Founded to Offer Teens from Alabama a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for adolescent boys from places like Alabama, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents enroll their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.
Boys from Alabama come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a lot of their free time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to have healthy fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys learn New Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from Alabama
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Alabama Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Teens participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
The Master’s Ranch Troubled Teen Boarding School Sends Boys Out Ready for Tomorrow
Young men from Alabama who finish the Master’s Ranch program may go back home to Alabama to finish high school and reunite with their families, or they may go on to university, vocational education, employment, or the military. Master’s Ranch graduates are well prepared for productive lives.
