Families in Topeka, Kansas Select Master’s Ranch for Their Teens Who Need a New Path in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The boarding school with counseling makes much of the value of work, which is taught through involvement with the ranch, daily chores in the dorms and kitchen, and a strong vocational program. Boys live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it the same way.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They build strength, their self-respect improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys come to terms with the consequences of their past behaviors. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Many of our boys consider the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second parents and many come back to help or to spend time with us. We have a lot of fun on the ranch, as well. Residents spend a great deal of their weekends and free time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to have wholesome fun again.
