Families in Redmond, Oregon Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for adolescent boys who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. The therapeutic program emphasizes the value of work, taught through animal husbandry, assigned chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-respect improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys come to terms with the ramifications of their past choices. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity.Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Boys Enjoy a Family-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Adolescents at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We operate like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them. We give pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys consider the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large number come back to help or to visit. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Boys spend a lot of their free time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to have good clean fun again.
