Families in Columbia, Missouri Select Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Path in Life

Master’s Ranch is a second home for teenage boys who need proper direction to turn their lives around. The boarding school makes much of the value of work, taught through animal husbandry, regular chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it the same way.

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, they feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys understand the results of their past actions. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second parents and a large number come back to help or to spend time with us. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Students spend a lot of their free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again.
