Families in Bolivar, Missouri Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for teenage boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The boarding school focuses on the value of work, demonstrated through ranch chores, assigned chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an extensive vocational program. Boys live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, their self-respect improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys come to terms with the ramifications of their past behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Many of our boys consider the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second parents and many come back to help or to spend time with us. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Residents spend a great deal of time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
