If your son has started down a road to disaster, he needs someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and going through the days next to them, coaching and leading them.

We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Students spend a lot of their free time outdoors, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
We start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a standard level of fitness. They develop muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Teens participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual guidance.
