trouble boys schoolsWe are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, accepting boys from places like Shreveport, Louisiana. Although our academy is located in rural Missouri, rather than in Shreveport, Louisiana, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.

If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days alongside them, coaching and training them.

trouble boys schoolsMaster’s Ranch is a home away from home for teenage boys from places like Shreveport, Louisiana, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves.  Parents bring their  young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.

Boys from  Shreveport, Louisiana come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.

Boys spend a lot of time outdoors, playing sports, and generally learning how to have good clean fun again.

Physical Training

trouble boys schoolsWe start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They gain muscle, their self-respect improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their accomplishments build confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the results of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

trouble boys schoolsWe have certified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

trouble boys schoolsBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they go home.  The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Students take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus.  We provide pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
