Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Students participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus.  We give biblical counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
