If your son has gotten off track, he could use someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave.  The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Residents participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus.  We offer group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual guidance.
