We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and leading them.

Boys spend a great deal of their free time hunting, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
Physical Training
We begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Academic Training
We have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Spiritual Training
Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.
