If your son has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days beside them, coaching and teaching them.

Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for adolescent boys from places like Pine Bluff, Arkansas, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Boys from Pine Bluff, Arkansas come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Students spend a great deal of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to have healthy fun again.
We begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their positive experiences build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally realize the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
We have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.
Students take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We give pastoral counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
