We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Boys spend a great deal of their weekends and free time hunting, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.
Physical Training
We start right away with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally realize the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Academic Training
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.
Spiritual Training
Students participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We give pastoral counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.

Teens from Oak Park, Illinois who complete the Master’s Ranch program may go home to Illinois to finish high school and rejoin their families, or they may continue on to college, further vocational training, employment, or the armed services.
