If your teen has been getting into trouble, he needs someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and instructing them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home.  The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Boys have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus.  We give pastoral counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual guidance.
