Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days next to them, coaching and leading them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the ramifications of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave.  The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Students take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We give pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
