Master’s Ranch in Missouri might be exactly what for your teenage boy if he’s getting in trouble and is hurting his own future. If your needs someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making our counsel non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain close supervision, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days beside them, coaching and teaching them.

DSCN0609With a Mission to Give Teens from Montana a New Direction in Life

Master’s Ranch is a second home for adolescent boys from other states like Montana, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that they’ve begun to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.

Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a great deal of their free time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.

Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys

We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-respect improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from Montana

We have certified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.

At Master’s Ranch Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Residents take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.

Master’s Ranch graduates are well prepared for productive lives.
