We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and leading them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start right away with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Teens participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We give biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.

Missoula IPAc-en is a city in the U.S. state of Montana and is the county seat of Missoula County. It is located along the Clark Fork and Bitterroot rivers in Western Montana and at the convergence of five mountain ranges, thus is often described as being the “Hub of Five Valleys”. The 2010 Census put the population of Missoula at 66,788 and the Missoula Metropolitan Area at 109,299. Since 2000, Missoula has been the second largest city in Montana.Citation]
Missoula was founded in 1860 and named Hellgate Trading Post while still part of Washington Territory. By 1866, the settlement had moved five miles upstream and renamed Missoula Mills before being shortened to Missoula. The desire for a more convenient water supply to power a lumber and flour mill led to the movement of the settlement to its modern location in 1864.Citation] The mills provided supplies to western settlers traveling along the Mullan Road with Fort Missoula, set up in 1877 to protect the settlers, further stabilizing the economy. The arrival of the Northern Pacific Railway in 1883 was coupled with rapid growth and the maturation of the local lumber industry. An element of prestige could be claimed ten years later when what was already called the City of Missoula was chosen by the Montana Legislature as the site for the new states first university. Along with the U.S. Forest Service headquarters founded in 1908, lumber and the university would remain staples of the local economy for the next hundred years.Citation]http://www.maedc.org/about]
By the 1990s, Missoulas lumber industry had gradually disappeared, and today the citys largest employers are the University of Montana and Missoulas two hospitals. The city is governed by a mayor-council government with twelve city council members, two from each of the six wards. In and around Missoula are Convert of parkland, Convert of trails, and nearly Convert of open-space conservation land with adjacent Mount Jumbo home to grazing elk and mule deer during the winter months. The city is also home to both Montanas largest and its oldest active breweries as well as the Montana Grizzlies, one of the strongest college football programs in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision of the National Collegiate Athletic Association .
