Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally realize the ramifications of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave.  The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Residents participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We give pastoral counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
