Master’s Ranch in Missouri might be just the place that can help your boy if he’s getting in trouble and is hurting his own future. A boarding school just for at-risk boys, we enroll boys from Michigan and other states. We would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program, even if you are in Michigan.

If your could use someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially at the start, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.

Master’s Ranch is a new home for boys from other states like Michigan, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.

Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a lot of their free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.

Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys

We start with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from Michigan

We have qualified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys Understand Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad actions. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

At Master’s Ranch Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Boys participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.

Help finding boarding schools  for boys in Michigan:

Michigan is a U.S. state located in the Great Lakes Region of the United States of America. The name Michigan is the French form of the Ojibwa word mishigamaa, meaning “large water” or “large lake”. Michigan is the 11th most extensive and the 8th most populous of the 50 United States.
Michigan has the longest freshwater coastline of any political subdivision in the world, being bounded by four of the five Great Lakes, plus Lake Saint Clair. Michigan is one of the leading U.S. states for recreational boating. The state has 64,980 inland lakes and ponds. A person in the state is never more than six miles (10 km) from a natural water source or more than Convert from a Great Lakes shoreline. It is the largest state by total area east of the Mississippi River.
Michigan is the only state to consist entirely of two peninsulas. The Lower Peninsula, to which the name Michigan was originally applied, is often noted to be shaped like a mitten. The Upper Peninsula (often referred to as “The U.P.”) is separated from the Lower Peninsula by the Straits of Mackinac, a five-mile (8 km)-wide channel that joins Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The two peninsulas are connected by the Mackinac Bridge. The Upper Peninsula is economically important due to its status as a tourist destination. There are also a variety of natural resources to be found there, including a sizable amount of iron ore.
