We are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, accepting boys from all around the country. Although our ranch is in rural Missouri, we would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program.
If your son has started down a road to disaster, he needs someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and going through the days beside them, coaching and teaching them.

Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for teenage boys who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from all around the country come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Students spend a great deal of their free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have good clean fun again.
Physical Training
We begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They develop muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the ramifications of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Academic Training
We have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Spiritual Training
Residents have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.

Young men who finish the Master’s Ranch program may go home to finish high school and reunite with their families, or they may move on to university, further vocational training, the workforce, or the armed services. Master’s Ranch graduates are highly prepared for successful futures.
