We run like a family, loving these boys through their struggles and walking through the days beside them, coaching and instructing them.

Master’s Ranch is a new home for adolescent boys from places like Knoxville, Tennessee, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Knoxville, Tennessee come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Students spend a lot of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to have good clean fun again.
Physical Training
We start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally comprehend the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Academic Training
We have certified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Vocational Training
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Spiritual Training
Residents participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We give biblical counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
