We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and walking through the days next to them, coaching and instructing them.

We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Boys spend a lot of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, they feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and discover a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
