Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a standard level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments build confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Residents have access to daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus.  We provide biblical counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
