If your needs someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making our counsel non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain close supervision, especially at the start, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.

Master’s Ranch is a new home for boys from other states like Illinois, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents enroll their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that they’ve begun to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.

Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a great deal of their weekends and free time fishing, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.

Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys

We start right away with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from Illinois

We have certified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally comprehend the results of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Teens have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide pastoral counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual guidance.
