Boarding Schools for Boys in Idaho…Do They Provide Help for Troubled Boys Like Master’s Ranch Does?Master’s Ranch in Missouri may be exactly what for your teenage boy if he’s getting in trouble and is getting into trouble. A boarding school just for at-risk boys, we enroll boys from Idaho and other states. We would love the opportunity to tell you about our affordable program, even if you are in Idaho.
If your could use someone to confide in who will listen to him and guide him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions.
Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially at the start, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and walking through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.
With a Mission to Give Teens from Idaho a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for teenage boys from other states like Idaho, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a great deal of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have wholesome fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys
We start with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences build confidence so that boys are built up.
Academic Training for Boys from Idaho
We have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Helping Boys Understand Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally realize the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Troubled Boys from Idaho Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.
A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys
Residents participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
The Master’s Ranch Boarding School Sends Boys from Idaho Out Ready for the Future
Young men from Idaho who finish the Master’s Ranch program may return home to Idaho to complete high school and rejoin their parents, or they may continue on to college, vocational education, employment, or the military. Master’s Ranch graduates are highly prepared for productive lives.
