If your son has started down a road to disaster, he could use someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and going through the days next to them, coaching and training them.

Boys from Glenview, Illinois come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.
Residents spend a lot of time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to have wholesome fun again.
We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the consequences of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
We have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.
Residents participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We give pastoral counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual guidance.
