Boarding Schools for Boys in Georgia…Do They Provide Help for Troubled Boys Like Master’s Ranch Does?Master’s Ranch in Missouri may be exactly what you’re looking for if he’s getting in trouble and is getting into trouble. A boarding school just for at-risk boys, we admit boys from Georgia and other states. We would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program, even if you are in Georgia.
If your could use someone trustworthy who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting.
Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain close supervision, especially at the start, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and walking through the days next to them, coaching and training them.
With a Mission to Offer Sons from Georgia a New Path in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for boys from other states like Georgia, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after learning that they’ve begun to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a lot of their weekends and free time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys
We start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build muscle, their self-respect improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Academic Training for Boys from Georgia
We have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Helping Boys learn New Boundaries
Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Troubled Boys from Georgia Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.
At Master’s Ranch Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys
Students take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
The Master’s Ranch Boarding School Sends Young Men from Georgia Out Ready for Tomorrow
Young men from Georgia who finish the Master’s Ranch program may go back home to Georgia to complete school and reunite with their parents, or they may continue on to college, further trades training, the workplace, or the armed services. Master’s Ranch graduates are well prepared for productive lives.
