Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They develop muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally comprehend the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave.  The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Teens take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus.  We provide group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual guidance.
