We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, loving these boys no matter what and going through the days beside them, coaching and leading them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-respect improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their accomplishments bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the results of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Boys participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We give biblical counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual guidance.
