Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start right away with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-respect improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior turns into character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave.  The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Boys take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We provide pastoral counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.
