Master’s Ranch is a new home for teenage boys from places like Dallas, Texas, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents bring their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Dallas, Texas come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way. Residents spend a lot of time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
Physical Training
We start right away with physical exercise to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain strength, their self-respect improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training

Academic Training

The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Vocational Training
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Spiritual Training
Teens take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We provide biblical counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.
