We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and walking through the days right with them, coaching and leading them.

We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Students spend a great deal of their free time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
We begin with physical training to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They gain muscle, their self-respect improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.
Residents have access to regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We give pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual guidance.
