Master’s Ranch boarding school could be exactly what can help your boy if he’s gotten off track in life.
If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide therapy throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days alongside them, coaching and leading them.
Master’s Ranch Boarding School is Designed to Offer Boys a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for adolescent boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents enroll their young men, age 9-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it in the same way.
Students spend a great deal of their free time hunting, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
We start right away with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They build strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up.
Master’s Ranch is a boarding school that goes beyond most others in that it helps young men to mentally realize the results of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
We have excellent teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.
Boys participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We give group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual direction.
Our Christian Boarding School for Boys Sends Boys Out Ready for the Future
Young men who complete the Master’s Ranch program may return home to finish high school and reunite with their families, or they may go on to university, vocational education, the workplace, or the military. Master’s Ranch graduates are highly prepared for successful futures.
