Academic Training
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.
Our boarding school operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Spiritual Training
Teens take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual direction.
