If your could use someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making our counsel non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially at the start, but we do so while giving them loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We operate like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and walking through the days alongside them, coaching and training them.

DSCN0609Founded to Offer Boys from California a New Direction in Life

Master’s Ranch is a second home for teenage boys from other states like California, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents enroll their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.

Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a great deal of time camping, playing sports, and just learning how to enjoy healthy fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.

Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys

We start right away with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a standard level of fitness. They build strength, their self-respect improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their accomplishments develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from California

We have qualified teachers on staff who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are scheduled for those who succeed academically and wish to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys learn New Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally understand the ramifications of bad actions. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these endeavors.

Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Teens take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and experience a relationship with Jesus. We offer group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.

More about boarding schools  for boys in California:

California is a state located on the West Coast of the United States. It is by far the most populous U.S. state, and the third most extensive (after Alaska and Texas). It is home to the nation’s second- and sixth-largest census statistical areas (Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and San Francisco Bay Area), and eight of the nation’s fifty most populated cities (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Sacramento, Long Beach and Oakland).Cite webDead link] The capital city is Sacramento.
California’s diverse geography ranges from the Pacific Coast in the west, to the Sierra Nevada mountains in the eastfrom the RedwoodDouglas-fir forests of the northwest, to the Mojave Desert areas in the southeast. The center of the state is dominated by Central Valley, a major agricultural area. California contains both the highest and lowest points in the contiguous United States (Mount Whitney and Death Valley), and has the third-longest coastline of all states (after Alaska and Florida). Earthquakes are a common occurrence due to the state’s location along the Pacific Ring of Fire: about 37,000 are recorded annually.
The name California once referred to a large area of North America claimed by Spain that included much of modern-day Southwestern United States and the Baja California peninsula. Beginning in the late 18th century, the area known as Alta California, comprising the California territory north of the Baja Peninsula, was colonized by the Spanish Empire as part of New Spain. In 1821, Alta California became a part of Mexico following its successful war for independence. Shortly after the beginning of the Mexican-American War in 1846, a group of American settlers in Sonoma declared an independent California Republic in Alta California. Though its existence was short-lived, its flag became the precursor for California’s current state flag. American victory in the war led to the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, in which Mexico ceded Alta California to the United States. Western areas of Alta California became the state of California, which was admitted as the 31st state on September 9, 1850.
The California Gold Rush beginning in 1848 led to dramatic social and demographic change, with large scale immigration from the U.S. and abroad and an accompanying economic boom. Key developments in the early 20th century included the emergence of Los Angeles as the center of the American entertainment industry, and the growth of a large, state-wide tourism sector. The late 20th century saw the development of the technology and information sectors, punctuated by the growth of Silicon Valley. In addition to California’s prosperous agricultural industry, other important contributors to its economy include aerospace, education, and manufacturing. If California were a country, it would be the eighth-largest economy in the world and the 35th most populous nation. At least half of the fresh fruit produced in the United States are cultivated in California, and it also leads in the production of vegetables.
