We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and going through the days next to them, coaching and leading them.

Master’s Ranch is a second home for boys from places like Butte, Montana, who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. Parents enroll their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin a downward spiral which cannot be stopped by counseling alone.
Boys from Butte, Montana come to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Students spend a lot of their weekends and free time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy good clean fun again.
Physical Training
We begin with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop strength, their self-respect improves, and they experience something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
Mental Training
MRCA goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the consequences of bad choices. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Academic Training
We have qualified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also provides some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.
Spiritual Training
Residents take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We provide group and individual counseling and life-on-life mentorship and spiritual direction.
Our Christian Boarding School for Boys Sends Boys Out Ready for the Future
