Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe begin with physical exercise to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop strength, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their accomplishments bolster confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally understand the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have certified teachers on our personnel who provide instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accomplish both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and wish to get ahead.

Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeBoys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into a fund that they withdraw when they go home.  The ranch itself also offers some vocational opportunities for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these endeavors.

Spiritual Training

Teens participate in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and experience a relationship with Jesus.  We provide pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual direction.
