We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also in a group setting. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days right with them, coaching and leading them.

Physical Training

Master's Ranch Christian AcademyWe start right away with physical training to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They gain muscle, they have a reason to feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.

Mental Training

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond trqditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally comprehend the results of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Academic Training

ranch for reforming boysWe have qualified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During the summers we run a shortened academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Vocational Training

boys ranch and homeAfter the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into a fund that they take home with them when they leave.  The ranch itself also provides some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a real sense of accomplishment from these opportunities.

Spiritual Training

Residents take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus.  We give pastoral counseling and ongoing mentorship and spiritual direction.
