If your needs someone to confide in who will hear him and speak truth to him without judgment, we are here to help. We provide therapy throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions.

Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making our counsel non-threatening and ongoing and in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially at the start, but we do so while giving them loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We work like a family, caring for these boys no matter what and going through the days alongside them, coaching and teaching them.

Founded to Offer Troubled Boys from Arkansas a New Path in Life

Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for adolescent boys from other states like Arkansas, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents enroll their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.

Boys at Master’s Ranch Christian Academy spend a great deal of their free time outdoors, playing sports, and just learning how to have wholesome fun again. They are brought to our boarding school to live in a structured environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We value education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.

Adventure and Physical Outlets are Important in our Boarding School for Boys

We start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They build strength, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. Those achievements carry over into other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences develop confidence so that boys are built up.

Academic Training for Boys from Arkansas

We have certified teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be having difficulty with certain subjects to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and college-prep programs are ready for those who succeed academically and desire to get ahead.

Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. All summer we run a partial academic regimen to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.

Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries

Master’s Ranch Christian Academy goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally realize the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking straightens out and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.

Troubled Boys from Arkansas Learn from Vocational Training

After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have a chance for work experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dime they earn is put into an account that they withdraw when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and self-confidence from these opportunities.

Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Boys

Students participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and ongoing mentoring and spiritual guidance.
