Families in Atchison, Kansas Come to Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for boys who need proper direction to make a new start for themselves. The therapeutic program emphasizes the value of work, demonstrated through animal husbandry, daily chores in the dorms and kitchen, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a structured environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it the same way.
We start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop strength, they feel good about themselves, and they gain something positive as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys comprehend the results of their past actions. Their thinking straightens out and their destructive behavior disappears, replaced with character and integrity.Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
