Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Idaho May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri Has
Even though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Idaho, Master’s Ranch in Missouri could be exactly what for your teenage boy if he’s getting in trouble and gotten off track in life.
Master’s Ranch is a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, enrolling boys from Idaho. Although our ranch is found in rural Missouri, instead of in Idaho, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.
If your son has been getting into trouble, he could use someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both one-on-one and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as someone they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and inspiring them toward a personal relationship with God. We are set up like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and walking through the days next to them, coaching and instructing them.
Master’s Ranch has a Mission to Provide Teens from Idaho a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for adolescent boys from places like Idaho, who need proper direction to turn their lives around. Parents bring their young men, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.
Boys from Idaho come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to think about it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a lot of their free time fishing, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy healthy fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start with physical exercise with the goal of bringing boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They gain muscle, their self-respect improves, and they experience a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in their education, their achievements develop confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries
MRCA goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps young men to mentally come to terms with the ramifications of bad choices. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior turns into character and integrity. Teens at Master’s Ranch have a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from Idaho
We have excellent teachers on staff who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring assistance to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we focus on both ends of the academic spectrum. The self-paced curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain courses to accomplish them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our residential academic program operates year-round, to keep students involved and to give them the opportunity to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Idaho Learn from Vocational Training
Boys who have improved their actions and have become trustworthy are given a chance for vocational experience in the local economy. It allows them to try out their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. Every dollar they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they leave. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys gain marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
At Master’s Ranch Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Teens participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have the chance to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We offer biblical counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
Our Troubled Teen Boarding School Sends Boys Out Ready for Tomorrow
