Troubled Teen Boarding Schools for Boys in Connecticut May Not Have What Master’s Ranch in Missouri Has
Even though this troubled teen boarding school is not located in Connecticut, Master’s Ranch in Missouri could be exactly what for your teenage boy if he’s getting in trouble and gotten off track in life.
We are a boarding school for troubled teenage boys, admitting boys from Connecticut. Despite the fact that our academy is in rural Missouri, not in Connecticut, we would love the chance to tell you about our affordable program.
If your teen has started down a road to disaster, he needs someone trustworthy who will listen to him and guide him without judgment. We provide counseling throughout the week, both individual and also group counseling sessions. Throughout each boy’s stay, we engage them constantly as a friend they can talk to freely, making therapy non-threatening and ongoing in a more natural environment. We maintain a watchful eye, especially in the early days, but we do so while surrounding them with loving care and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with God. We run like a family, caring for these boys unconditionally and going through the days right with them, coaching and instructing them.
Master’s Ranch was Founded to Give Sons from Connecticut a New Start in Life
Master’s Ranch is a new home for teenage boys from places like Connecticut, who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. Parents enroll their boys, age 12-17, to Master’s Ranch after seeing them begin to get in trouble and headed on a downward spiral that cannot be helped by counseling alone.
Boys from Connecticut come to our boarding school to live in a disciplined environment, learning respect for authority and personal responsibility through a renewed focus on faith, caring for themselves and their future, and through caring for the animals on our ranch. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to view it in the same way.
Troubled Boys spend a great deal of time camping, playing sports, and generally learning how to have wholesome fun again.
Physical Training in our Troubled Teen Boarding School
We start with physical exercise to bring boys up to a standard level of fitness. They gain strength, they feel good about themselves, and they experience something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in academics, their achievements build confidence so that boys are built up.
Helping Boys Begin Thinking About Appropriate Boundaries
MRCA goes beyond traditional boarding schools in that it helps boys to mentally come to terms with the consequences of bad behaviors. Their thinking clears and their inappropriate behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Academic Training for Boys from Connecticut
We have certified teachers on our personnel who offer instruction and one-on-one tutoring attention to the students. At Master’s Ranch, we accommodate both ends of the academic spectrum. The flexible curriculum allows students who may be struggling with certain subjects to master them and catch up. Advanced coursework and a college-prep programs are available for those who excel academically and desire to get ahead.
Our boarding academy operates year-round, to keep students engaged and to give them the chance to catch up or retake courses and improve their grade point average. During normal summer break we run a half-day academic schedule to allow time for projects, sports and recreation.
Troubled Boys from Connecticut Learn from Vocational Training
After the boys are at the ranch for a time, they have opportunities for vocational experience in select businesses nearby. It allows them to exercise their new coping skills and to earn money to help them once they leave the ranch. The wage they earn is put into an account that they take home with them when they go home. The ranch itself also offers some industries for the boys young men to learn from, including handling the cattle, construction, pedigree dog breeding, and farming. The boys are trained marketable skills and a self-confidence from these endeavors.
A Place Where Spiritual Training Leads to Improved Behaviors in Troubled Boys
Teens take part in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and discover a relationship with Jesus. We give pastoral counseling and person-to-person mentoring and spiritual guidance.
Our Troubled Teen Boarding School Sends Young Men Out Ready for Tomorrow
