Families in South Lake Tahoe, California Choose Master’s Ranch for Their Teens Who Need a New Direction in Life
Master’s Ranch is a second home for teenage boys who need proper direction to change the course of their lives. The boarding school makes much of the value of work, which is taught through animal husbandry, daily chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an outstanding vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We view education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We start right away with physical training to bring boys up to a minimum level of fitness. They develop muscle, their self-esteem improves, and they gain something positive as they begin to see progress in their fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their positive experiences bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys comprehend the ramifications of their past behaviors. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. At Master’s Ranch, we give boys every opportunity to be successful.
Our Residents Have a Home-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teens at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We operate like a family, loving these boys unconditionally and walking through the days right with them, coaching and teaching them. We give biblical counseling and life-on-life mentoring and spiritual guidance.
Boys participate in daily devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about God and choose a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys consider the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large number come back to work on the ranch or to visit. We have a lot of fun on the ranch, as well. Residents spend a lot of time outdoors, playing sports, and generally learning how to have healthy fun again.
