Families in Snohomish, Washington Select Master’s Ranch for Their Boys Who Need a New Path in Life
Master’s Ranch is a home away from home for boys who need proper direction to turn their lives around. The therapeutic program makes much of the value of work, demonstrated through animal husbandry, daily chores in the kitchen and dorms, and an extensive vocational program. Boys live in a disciplined environment, learning obedience and personal responsibility. We treat education as a privilege, and we teach boys to look at it the same way.
We begin with physical training with the goal of bringing boys up to a basic level of fitness. They develop muscle, they feel good about themselves, and they gain a positive achievement as they begin to meet fitness goals. The same concepts also work well in other areas. In work projects and vocational skills and even in school, their achievements bolster confidence so that boys are built up. Meanwhile, we help boys understand the consequences of their past actions. Their thinking clears and their destructive behavior is replaced with character and integrity. Master’s Ranch gives boys a reason to succeed.
Boys Enjoy a Home-Like Environment at Master’s Ranch
Teenagers at Master’s Ranch Christian Boarding School feel at home here. We are set up like a family, caring for these boys through their struggles and walking through the days beside them, coaching and instructing them. We offer group and individual counseling and person-to-person mentorship and spiritual direction.
Students take part in regular devotions and weekly church services, so they have opportunities to ask questions about life and choose a relationship with Jesus. Many of our boys think of the Bosleys, the directors at Master’s Ranch, as their second family and a large percentage come back to help or to spend time with us. We enjoy ourselves on the ranch, too. Residents spend a lot of their weekends and free time hunting, playing sports, and generally learning how to enjoy wholesome fun again.
